Femoral Head/Neck Ostectomy (FHO)
This surgery involves the removal of the femoral head and neck from the hip joint. It is commonly performed as an alternative to total joint replacement to alleviate pain and improve mobility in cases where arthritis or significant joint damage has occurred. By removing the bone, a false joint forms, often resulting in a reduction of discomfort and an increase in the range of motion for the patient.
Extra-articular Joint Stabilization
Extra-articular joint stabilization is a technique used to stabilize joints, particularly the knee, that have been compromised due to ligament injuries. This method is an alternative for treating cranial cruciate ligament ruptures, typically in smaller and less active dogs.

Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL)
Medial patellar luxation is a condition often seen in smaller dog breeds where the patella, or kneecap, dislocates towards the inside of the leg. Surgery to correct MPL typically involves deepening the groove in the femur where the patella sits and realigning the tendons and ligaments to keep the patella in place, thereby enhancing mobility and comfort.
